Antacids can be a helpful solution for occasional heartburn and stomach pains. Antacids are medicines that neutralise excess stomach acid. They contain acid-binding mineral compounds such as calcium carbonate or magnesium trisilicate. Antacids containing a combination of calcium carbonate and magnesium trisilicate complement each other in that calcium carbonate acts quickly, while magnesium trisilicate acts more slowly, providing a longer-lasting effect.
Stomach burn and heartburn
A burning sensation in the stomach and heartburn are caused by the reflux of stomach acid into the oesophagus. This can be triggered by fatty, spicy or acidic foods. Obesity, smoking and stress are other risk factors that can promote the development of this burning sensation. A healthy diet, sleeping upright and avoiding smoking and alcohol can help.

- Stomach pain

- Dyspepsia
- Indigestion due to hyperacidity, flatulence and acute stomach complaints
Dosage / application / packaging sizes
Adults and adolescents aged 12 and over:
- Chew 2–3 tablets one to two hours after eating or in the evening before going to bed, as needed
- The normal daily dose is 2–3 chewable tablets 3–4 times a day
Children aged 6 and over:
- Half the daily dose for adults

- 72 chewable tablets
