Probiotic medicines can alleviate the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and thereby improve the well-being of those affected by this condition. Specially selected strains of bacteria can help relieve the typical symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome such as abdominal pain, flatulence, diarrhoea and constipation. Examples of such specifically selected strains include the bacterium E. coli, for instance. These stabilise the balance of the intestinal microbiome and thus improve the immune system.
Irritable bowel syndrome
The actual cause of irritable bowel syndrome is unknown. There are many possible causes of IBS. The ordeal of those affected is often long-lasting, as irritable bowel syndrome is diagnosed by exclusion.
Possible causes include:
- changes in intestinal flora

- psychological factors (negative stress)

SYMBIOFLOR® Irritable Bowel is used for the treatment of:
- Irritable bowel syndrome (Colon irritabile)
Dosage / application / packaging sizes
Persons aged 18 and over:
- At the beginning of the treatment, 10 drops 3 times a day
- After one week, increase to 20 drops 3 times a day
Children:
- 10 drops once a day
The drops are to be taken dissolved in a little water at mealtime. Children are to take them with their midday meal.
Shake the preparation well before use.
