The human heart is about as big as your fist. At rest, the heart pumps the entire volume of blood (approx. 4-6 litres) through the entire blood circulation system in about 1 minute. Without this truly amazing performance we could not exist. For this reason, it is all the more important to look after your heart throughout your life.
